Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend and every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with patient ratios of 1:4–6
• Support care within a Primary Stroke Center and participate in STEMI protocols, coordinating transfers when catheterization intervention is required
• Deliver safe and effective care within two locked Behavioral Health units embedded in the ED, supported by dedicated staffing and a security team
• Assist in two rapid evaluation units designed for urgent care needs, critical care needs, and rapid medical screenings
• Float within the hospital within scope of practice as needed
• Complete required orientation modules virtually on the first day of contract and annually as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license – valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Copies of all certifications must be provided
• References required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Primary Stroke Center or STEMI-capable emergency environment
• Familiarity with Behavioral Health patient care within an emergency department setting
