This collaborative environment delivers FRESH THINKING, reassuring our customers that they choose the best when they choose to work with the people of Dover Food Retail.What the Role Involves:As a Mid-Level Service Tech, you'll be responsible for diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and ice machines that are installed in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments.Perform diagnosis and repair work on conventional and rack refrigeration systems, evaporative and air-cooled condensers, ice machines, water pumps, compressors, air handlers, electric motors, and all types of HVAC units.Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operating efficiencies and minimize downtime for customers.Complete all paperwork in a timely manner and adhere to customer documentation procedures.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDClean driver's license/recordEPA Certification, EPA 608 minimum types I and II or UniversalA minimum of 2 years of experience in the diagnosis and repair and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment.Certification from technical school or equivalent experience a PLUS!The Ideal Candidate:Ability to perform the job in a safe mannerProficient with diagnostic and repairs for self-contained refrigeration systems, walk ins, ice machines repairs, and HVAC equipment.Basic knowledge of supermarket refrigeration energy management systems a PLUSStrong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshootStrong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with customersDemonstrated ability to achieve quality resultsMust be able and willing to take lead when more than one tech is required for jobMust be willing and able to work long hours on your feet, participate in on-call rotation which includes nights, weekends, and one or more holidays each yearWhy Choose Dover Food Retail?We believe in a collaborative entrepreneurial spirit and winning through our customers.
