Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist for our Chicago Southside community hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with breathing disorders. You will work closely with medical staff to develop and implement treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties:

• Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate respiratory care plans
• Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed
• Monitor and assess patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed
• Educate patients on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide comprehensive patient care

Qualifications:

• Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• Certification or licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• Experience in acute care, critical care, or ICU settings preferred
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment
• Ability to assess vital signs and interpret patient data
• Strong understanding of respiratory physiology
• Experience in ventilator management is a plus

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits:
