Licensed Psychotherapist

Middle Way Psychotherapy is seeking a fully licensed LCSW, LCAT, LMHC, or LMFT to join our group practice on a part-time (12–19 hours weekly) or full-time (20+ hours weekly) basis. This role is well suited to clinicians who want a collaborative, supportive professional environment with a strong couples therapy focus alongside individual work. We offer weekly individual and group consultation and a yearly training stipend. Clinical growth opportunities include training in trauma-informed, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches, with an emphasis on their application in couples therapy. Candidates should be committed to ongoing professional development and to providing thoughtful, attuned care within a team-oriented setting. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide individual and couples psychotherapy, virtually and in person in Brooklyn Heights Collaborate with Middle Way staff to build and maintain a caseload Attend regular case consultation meetings Complete timely assessments, case notes, and billing documentation Maintain an accurate calendar in our EHR system Collaborate with staff to network and promote the practice Communicate quickly and effectively with admin and intake staff regarding consultations and onboarding Respond to prospective client outreach in a timely and professional manner QUALIFICATIONS Active, independent New York State license: LCSW, LCAT, LMHC, or LMFT Strong interest in couples work alongside individual psychotherapy Willingness to train in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Available to work consistent weekly hours, including at least two evenings, or one evening and one weekend day EMDR training preferred. We give strong preference to candidates already trained in EMDR. Clinicians without EMDR training who are eager to pursue it are encouraged to apply, and we will support that training.
