Manufacturing Engineer

Job DescriptionG3 Boats, a division of Yamaha Marine, is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Lebanon, Missouri. This onsite role is responsible for evaluating, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, support quality standards, and strengthen overall production performance.The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes ownership of technical challenges, is comfortable analyzing data and process documentation, and can effectively drive projects from concept through implementation. This position offers the opportunity to lead process improvement initiatives, develop engineered solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful plant operations.Essential Job Functions: (responsibilities, duties and standards of the position, including supervisory level and reporting relationship)Evaluate existing manufacturing systems and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, yield, cost, safety, and changeover performanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, strengthen quality, and support operational excellenceDevelop, configure, and implement new manufacturing processes and process improvements using sound engineering practicesAssess production processes, take measurements, interpret data, and translate findings into actionable recommendationsImprove process capability and production volume while maintaining and strengthening quality standardsDevelop and implement systems that optimize multiple phases of the production processPerform risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to address process, quality, and operational issuesPrepare reports, process documentation, and operating instructions to support implementation and ongoing consistencyLead process development projects of moderate to large scope, managing timelines, priorities, and project constraintsServe as a technical resource for manufacturing and quality-related questions across the operationIdentify and apply manufacturing best practices, standards, and emerging technologies that improve productivity, cost, quality, and agilityDetermine manufacturing costs using established or customized methodologiesLead cross-functional project teams and partner with site personnel to transition process improvements into plant operationsQualifications and Skills: (in terms of experience, education & training)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related fieldProven work experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or process engineeringAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen, and background checkAbility to investigate complex process issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical engineered solutionsComfort working independently on technical assignments while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong command of manufacturing methods, equipment, tooling, and process-related standardsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment without losing focus on quality and documentationClear written communication skills for reporting, process documentation, and operating instructionsEffective verbal communication skills for working with employees, vendors, contractors, and project stakeholdersFamiliarity with health and safety regulations and manufacturing risk assessment practicesExperience with Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferredExperience with robotic operations and installation preferredSheet metal manufacturing or fabrication experience preferredSafety/Environmental/Physical Demands:Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, and varying temperaturesAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the production floor for extended periodsAbility to lift or move materials and equipment up to a reasonable weight threshold, with or without accommodationAbility to use required personal protective equipment and follow all plant safety procedures Ability to travel between office and production environments as needed to support projects, troubleshooting, and implementationJob DetailsJob Type: Full TimeCategory: EngineeringSalaried: Salaried
