Allied Technician - Physical Therapist

Physical TherapistThis is an excellent opportunity for a Physical Therapist to join a team focused on enhancing patient mobility, function, and strength in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.Essential FunctionsHold a license as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.Maintain and update physical therapy skills and certifications as needed.Evaluate and treat patients using personalized rehabilitation programs.Utilize Electronic Medical Records for evaluations, reports, and summaries.Monitor and guide patient care throughout the treatment process.Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care.Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.Document patient care accurately and follow up on prescriptions and test results.Ensure patient comfort and provide answers to questions as required.Collaborate closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up.Have the necessary computer skills to fulfill job responsibilities.Make independent decisions regarding patient care as needed.Participate in business marketing and referral processes when necessary.Follow HIPAA policies and procedures to ensure patient privacy.Understand billing policies and procedures related to various payment options.Have proficiency in diagnostic and ICD-10 coding for service billing.Maintain physical mobility, including sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods.Lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transferring patients safely.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.Work EnvironmentThis role is situated in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.Patient Privacy ResponsibilitiesProtect patient information and comply with privacy policies and regulations.Access protected health information only as necessary for job duties.Report any concerns regarding privacy policy violations to the designated Privacy Officer.Participate in privacy training and communicate relevant privacy policy information.Physical DemandsThe physical demands of the role include walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout working hours. Frequent assistance with patient mobility and support is required.Required Education and ExperienceDegree in Physical Therapy.Preferred Education and ExperienceContinuing education courses.Additional Eligibility QualificationsMust hold an active license or be planning to test for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the relevant state.Holiday Coverage RequiredNo holiday coverage is required for this position.
