Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients with medical and surgical conditions, as well as those requiring telemetry monitoring.

Shift Details

• Night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical/surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret patients' telemetry readings and assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and discharge planning.
• Document all patient care activities in accordance with protocols.
• Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience.
• Valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from AHA or the American Red Cross.
• Recent Epic charting experience (within the last six months) is required.
• Must be able to work every other holiday.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty is required for qualification.

Assessment Requirements

• Completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores required.
