Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, duration, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews. \n
- Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs, goals, and preferences, while employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). \n
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, enabling them to participate actively in their recovery journey. \n
- Monitor and document client progress through regular check-ins, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and medical staff to provide integrated care, sharing insights on medication management and treatment adjustments. \n
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments, integrating new findings into therapeutic approaches. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and safety. \n
- Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to discuss complex cases, share insights, and enhance clinical practices. \n
- Serve as a strong advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and addressing stigma in the community. \n
Your primary focus will be on clients battling mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also provide support to vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring that everyone receives the highest standard of care and support suitable to their individual circumstances.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). \n
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field. \n
