Lot Attendant

Automotive Lot Attendant (Full time)-Glen Mills, PA

CarShop is seeking a responsible Lot Attendant to clean and organize the sales lot during store hours. This is a critical position as this person is responsible for preparing the lot and vehicles for our customers' first impressions.

The Lot Attendant is responsible for washing and internal cleaning of lot inventory so that all vehicles are maintained in pristine condition for potential customers. He/She is to ensure that the sales lot is clean and organized - this includes filling "holes" in the lines with appropriate stock. Additional responsibilities include preparing sold vehicles for delivery and driving vehicles to the gas station to fuel as necessary. He/She is to maintain the wash trucks, pressure washers and all other equipment and tools.

The successful candidate demonstrates the ability to establish priorities within his/her area of responsibility and problem solve in order to complete tasks in a timely manner. The Lot Attendant is a team player and an effective communicator. He/She must have a valid driver's license. The successful candidate will exemplify integrity, strive for self-improvement, and have an open-minded, "can-do" attitude. Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug testing, and hold a valid driver's license with a good driving history.

The essential functions of this position require a person to work with hazardous or flammable materials; AND/OR to complete tasks in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, including without limitation the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Medium Work- lifting, pulling or pushing up to 50 pounds occasionally, or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, or 10 pounds of constantly as required to move objects. This position requires the ability to stand, sit, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp. This position requires the ability to talk and hear. This position works in a covered area but will also work outside at times and could experience heat and cold, hazards, and noise.

Standard business hours with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

High School Diploma or equivalent; six months or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid driver's license. Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) may not drive vehicles off of the dealership premises.
