Job Description: The Utilization Coordinator is responsible for coordinating admissions, performing concurrent and retrospective utilization review, and facilitating discharge planning. S/he also provides coordination of complex discharge planning needs and referrals to appropriate support services.

EDUCATION:

• Associate's in Nursing or above. Bachelor's preferred.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

• RN-Registered Nurse of California
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 180 Days of hire
• CCM-Certified Case Manager preferred.
• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

• Minimum 2 years experience working in Utilization Management (admissions, utilization review, and/or discharge planning).
