Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait. What You Will Be Doing: You will own hardware designs for Helion's fusion generator prototypes. You will solve multidisciplinary engineering problems that are necessary for deploying fusion energy to the world and act as a culture driver on a growing team. This role is onsite at our headquarters in Everett, WA. You Will: Enhancing Helion's analysis workflow for critical structures (electromagnets) Running transient multiphysics finite-element models to generate margins for critical designs Collaborating with a multidisciplinary engineering team to improve critical hardware designs Learning from in-house experts to expand your skillset into electrical and thermal analysis Building software tools to automate the analysis workflow and allow Helion engineers and scientists to run their own analysis Required Skills: You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics or related field with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on engineering experience. Strong background in analytical, computational and numerical simulation methods Expert level understanding of electromagnetic and thermal finite element modeling Experience in taking on complex analysis problems from formulation through hardware testing and model correlation.
