Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS), AI Infrastructure - Evinova
AstraZeneca
Evinova, AstraZeneca's health-tech division, seeks a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design and operate AWS infrastructure for production generative AI workloads. The role involves building reusable platform capabilities, infrastructure-as-code development, and establishing reliable, scalable systems for AI teams in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable AWS cloud platform for production ML/AI and generative AI workloads
- Write and maintain AWS CDK infrastructure code; create reusable constructs for team consumption
- Build and operate AI gateway for model routing, authentication, and access control across providers
- Establish monitoring, alerting, SLOs, and production-readiness standards for AI applications
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize platform reliability, scalability, and cost
Requirements
- Extensive AWS cloud platform design and operations experience
- Proficiency in AWS CDK using TypeScript and/or Python
- Strong infrastructure-as-code and IaC tooling expertise
- Experience with containerization, ECS, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of ML/AI workload deployment and production operations
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, and SLO frameworks
- Experience in regulated or highly-compliant environments
