Condo Underwriter

The Condo Underwriter is responsible for accurately analyzing all condominium project documentation and assist in rendering a decision based on salability to the applicable Agency and UHM guidelines.At UHM, we understand diversity comes in many different forms. We value diversity, educate on equity, and create inclusive partner opportunities to ensure that you know #UBelongAtUHM!DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESResearch and utilize the most current guidelines for all agencies such as FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, and RD as well as UHM guidelines when reviewing condominium documentation for approval consideration.Review Appraisals to assure they meet Agency property standards as well as condo project requirements as applicable.Maintain and update approval lists and recertification of all condominiums.Develop and maintain this department, its training and assistance across all channels of business.Monitor, respond and resolve Condo Tickets in the Condo Fresh-Desk within Department’s SLA.Maintain all required turn times. Current turn times for complete reviews on Condos are 24-48hrs.Update & Maintain Policies and Procedures with current agency changes.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a financial or analytical field.Knowledge/Experience in the review of property types, appraisal reviews and financial statements.SKILLS REQUIREDStrong attention to organization, detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Excel and loan origination systemsDemonstrate highest level of professionalism and customer serviceEffective interpersonal skills and technical report writing skillsExperience with FHA/VA/Conventional Agency loansShows work commitmentPersonal organizationAdaptability and flexibilityAbility to multi-task and meet strict deadlinesFosters teamworkUses sound judgmentComfortable using financial/quantitative dataThis employer participates in E-Verify.
