Associate Director, Seaver Graduate Programs

Associate Director of Graduate Programs Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs & Strategic Partnerships, the Associate Director of Graduate Programs will direct recruitment and outreach activities for the College of Science and Engineering’s graduate programs (both degree- and non‑degree). Under limited supervision, this position will expand marketing and recruitment efforts to diversify and strategically grow Seaver College’s graduate student population in alignment with the college’s strategic plan. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to achieve enrollment targets for all graduate and certificate programs in the College of Science and Engineering. Serve as the primary recruiter and manage all aspects of on‑campus recruiting events such as information sessions, webinars, graduate fairs and the Graduate Open House in coordination with LMU partner offices, including Graduate Admissions and Career and Professional Development. Organize off‑campus recruiting events (local corporate education fairs and out‑of‑area graduate student recruiting forums) to represent LMU SCSE Graduate Programs at relevant events, generating a large applicant pool. Develop ongoing assessment to ensure recruitment activities effectively attract prospective and targeted applicants to the LMU SCSE Graduate Programs. Establish, maintain and leverage local industry connections for program promotion; represent LMU within the science and engineering community and at professional organizations or associations. Manage and improve existing LMU databases for the recruitment process, including creation and deployment of custom reports and queries. Collaborate with LMU Enrollment Management and LMU Marketing & Communications to implement a marketing plan that increases program awareness and drives enrollment. Oversee promotional activities and strategies such as social media campaigns and creation of physical promotional materials. Support the admissions process by managing prospect data and communicating with prospective students to ensure a positive and seamless experience. Collaborate with department chairs and associate deans to improve and advance all Seaver graduate programs. Assist the Associate Dean with program assessments and work with the academic budget team to develop an appropriate graduate budget for Seaver graduate programs. Supervise graduate assistants and work‑study students who interact with prospects and applicants. Attend events such as Graduate New Student Orientation, Graduate Open House, Graduate Fairs, Graduate Research Symposium, and the Graduate Awards Celebration. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent experience; a Master’s in Science and Engineering or counseling is highly preferred. Minimum three years’ experience in an academic program office, preferably in graduate or undergraduate admissions at a not‑for‑profit university. Demonstrated knowledge in recruiting, marketing, social media, higher education curriculum, course sequences and requirements, admissions requirements, graduation requirements, and university resources. Familiarity with academic processes and procedures, Registrar office, and Financial Aid office. Excellent organizational, multitasking and time‑management skills; ability to prioritize, delegate and meet deadlines. Strong written communication skills, including memo, minutes, and report preparation. Highly developed customer‑service skills and ability to build effective working relationships across the university. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with campus databases.
