Lead Systems EngineerThe Electronic Warfare & Airborne Sensors Department is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support and expand our Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SETC) organization. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across multiple engineering disciplines, driving coordinated and efficient execution to achieve program objectives.As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will partner closely with program management, cross-functional engineering teams, supply chain, and customer stakeholders to develop tailored engineering solutions that enable unique and critical mission outcomes. You will play a key role in shaping system architectures, guiding technical decision-making, and ensuring alignment across the entire program lifecycle. This is an onsite role located in Indianapolis, Indiana.What You Will Do:Serve as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the programSupport program and customer success through cross-functional collaborationProvide leadership for engineering execution, influencing priorities and directionParticipate in customer technical discussions to understand needs and shape future effortsReview technical baselines and ensure alignment with program phase requirementsContribute to engineering risk mitigations, opportunity assessments, and execution alignmentAssist with Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and ad hoc technical reviewsProvide engineering inputs to Estimates at Completion (EACs)Identify staffing needs and ensure the program has appropriate technical skillsetsSupport adherence to engineering processes, procedures, and contractual requirementsLead or participate in engineering reviews and customer technical meetingsEnsure thorough FRACA implementation and timely technical issue resolutionContribute to innovation initiatives and technical roadmap developmentQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics) and 10+ years of relevant systems engineering experience EW/Radar system development, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and system-level integration & verification planningPrior experience as Lead Systems Engineer, IPT Lead, or Program Systems Lead EngineerThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
