Intermodal Customer Service Rep

Mark-It Express is a fast-growing asset-based Intermodal trucking company based in Chicago. We are currently seeking an energetic CSR to join our team out of our Lemont, IL terminal. At this time, we are not open for remote or WFH candidates for this position. As a local Intermodal Drayage carrier, we are expanding our team and looking for an individual to assist in CSR responsibilities. Intermodal operations require a unique skill set, and while this role involves various moving parts, we leverage user-friendly computers and internet-based portals for seamless operations. The TMS system we use is called Profit Tools; experience with this model is a plus! Training will be provided to ensure mastery and a smooth integration into our operations. Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Customer Service Rep to support the management of a group of drivers within the Chicago region. Job Responsibilities: Assist in rail tracing and appointment setting for import and export shipments.Collaborate with various functional groups to meet operational goals.Support leadership and guidance to drivers through effective communication and interactions.Enforce company and customer policies and disseminate relevant information to the team.Support driver schedule management by coordinating with dispatchers.Provide input on route design and contribute to identifying and resolving operational issues.Other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications: 1+ years of Intermodal Customer Service experience is preferred OR related experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications such as Teams, Outlook, Excel. Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude. Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
