This isn't just a job, it's a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Control Systems Engineer, we'll count on you to:Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresCoordinate control system discipline staff workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on scheduleReview control systems documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite and edit instrumentation and controls systems specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devicesDevelop biddable and technically accurate SCADA / Control Systems construction documents including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, installation details, loop drawings, and technical specificationsCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as neededSupervise and develop a small staff of professionals and technicians as neededProvide construction contract administration as neededLead or support SCADA and network Master Planning projects as neededTravel to client facilities to participate in field activities to assess and document the current state of installed control systems. Participate in and lead design review and planning meetings with the clientLead or participate in the development of preliminary engineering reports and Studies focused on recommending and developing solutions for control system improvementsServe as Engineer of Record in responsible charge for the development of biddable and technically accurate SCADA/I&C construction documentsInterface with Electrical and Process Engineers to fully coordinate design requirements for network, power, control, and instrumentationAssist with the selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipmentAssist with the development of biddable and technically accurate SCADA / I&C construction documents including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, installation details, loop drawings, and technical specificationsAssist with system testing and commissioning activitiesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) licenseProficiency with Microsoft Office productsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustA minimum of 5 years applicable experienceHDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
