Senior Project Engineer - Industrial Mechanical Construction

Growing heavy industrial mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support multiple industrial construction projects throughout the Baltimore/Washington area.

This is a hands-on role working with Operations, Project Managers, field supervision, clients, subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project coordination, schedules, budgets, materials and subcontractors
• Assist with estimating, takeoffs, vendor quotes and project buyout
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings and project documentation
• Participate in client and subcontractor meetings
• Visit job sites and work directly with field teams
• Help troubleshoot project issues and keep work on schedule and budget

Ideal Background:

• B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering or related field
• 5–8+ years of industrial mechanical construction/project engineering experience
• Experience with millwrighting, process piping and/or industrial equipment installation
• Familiarity with ASME codes and mechanical construction
• Strong estimating and project coordination experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Projects include process piping, pumps, tanks, rotating equipment, conveyors, structural steel and industrial equipment across manufacturing, food, chemical, recycling and power generation facilities.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday 4x10s or Monday–Friday 5x8s, with overtime as needed.
