Controller

SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the organization's accounting and financial operations. The Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting activities, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, internal controls, compliance, and financial analysis.

This position will work closely with senior leadership and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, support business decisions, improve financial processes, and maintain the overall integrity of the organization's financial operations. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with strong accounting expertise and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting.
• Oversee cash management and support payroll and other financial activities as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting processes.
• Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership.
• Analyze financial results, trends, variances, and key performance indicators.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Develop financial projections and monitor performance against established budgets.
• Partner with leadership to support financial planning and strategic decision-making.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations and requirements.
• Coordinate audits and work with external accounting professionals as needed.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial policies, procedures, and systems.
• Partner with leadership and department managers to support operational and financial objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and financial performance.
• Evaluate and improve accounting processes, reporting systems, and workflows.
• Support the implementation and optimization of accounting and financial systems.
• Provide financial guidance and support for key business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to balance strategic responsibilities with hands-on accounting and financial management.
