Job Summary:

Travel Café is seeking a highly experienced Travel Advisor to join our growing team. This is a full-time position within an established, full-service travel agency; serving leisure and corporate clients throughout Montana and beyond for the last 26+ years.

Our organization is looking for an advisor who can confidently step into an active client environment, manage travel requests from start to finish, and provide exceptional service while building lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate is passionate about travel, highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings previous travel industry experience including GDS knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and retain strong client relationships.
• Manage client travel requests from inquiry/discovery through final documentation and travel.
• Listen to client needs and translate them into customized travel experiences.
• Provide outstanding customer service before, during, and after travel.
• Utilize industry tools and supplier relationships to create seamless itineraries.
• Handle air, hotel, cruise, tour, insurance, and all other related travel components.
• Assist clients with schedule changes, travel disruptions, and problem resolution as needed.
• Maintain awareness of all current travel restrictions and safety protocols for all modes of transportation and destinations.
• Work with suppliers via phone, GDS, email, and online to research and finalize arrangements.
• Sabre reservations, PNR finishing using required scripting and ticketing as applicable.
• Experience with CRM systems and secure client data entry.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous travel agency/advisor experience required.
• Ability to confidently manage active client bookings with minimal training.
• Working knowledge of a GDS system is strongly preferred.
• Punctual and reliable attendance in the office.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are important.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Works with frequent deadlines while multi-tasking.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated or standing) for extended periods.
• Ability to operate a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
• Frequent movement within the office to access files, office machines, or meet with staff/walk-ins.
• Ability to lift and carry office supplies or packages up to 50lbs as needed.
• Visual acuity to read printed and digital documents.
• May occasionally need to bend, kneel, or reach overhead.
• May work alone at times.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
