Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview

An opportunity is available for a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a dynamic and professional nursing team within a busy operating room environment. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced setting while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures across various specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical interventions. Assist with the preparation of the operating room and necessary surgical instruments. Utilize advanced technology and adhere to best practices in a Magnet-designated department. Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season as necessary. Work Schedule

Shift: 3x12-hour days (06:30 - 19:00) On-call: Required for up to 4 shifts every 4 weeks. Weekend work: Required to work up to one weekend shift every 4 weeks. Holidays: Candidates must be available to work at least one holiday period, including Christmas and New Year’s. Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting strongly preferred. First-time travelers are accepted. Current RN license in South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required. BLS certification required. Radiation badge will be provided by the agency. Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred, with strong scrub experience. Miscellaneous Information

RTO (Request Time Off) must be specified at the time of submission for consideration. Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks, which can be broken down into multiple hours. Parking: A parking permit is required for onsite parking with a nominal registration fee. Additional fees may apply if parking outside designated areas.
