Field Service Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)

About the role:

Glatt Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves significant travel (up to 60% overnight and 80% including local) across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico to support the startup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support of our industry-leading process systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site engineering services: FATs, commissioning, training, validation, troubleshooting, and warranty support.
\n
• Support installation of electrical/mechanical components and retrofits; provide instructional documents as needed.
\n
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control issues.
\n
• Act as on-site liaison between Glatt and the customer, communicating scope changes and project updates.
\n
• Document service activities: protocols, checklists, trip reports, drawing markups.
\n
• Support rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and safety evaluations.
\n
• Provide feedback to the Process Automation team for continuous improvement.
\n
• Offer remote technical support to customers.
\n
• Collaborate with project managers and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
\n
• Maintain high service standards and strong interpersonal relationships with customers and global teams.

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
\n
• Experience with Hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC systems
\n
• Experience with hand tools, basic welding/metalworking
\n
• Experience with Psychometrics, VFDs, Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic
\n
• Control system documentation (P&IDs, schematics, panel layouts)
\n
• Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, and NEMA standards
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, Access, and/or SQL Server
\n
• Valid driver’s license required
