About the Clinician's Workday The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular care with day shift coverage from 7 AM to 7 PM and night shift coverage from 7 PM to 7 AM for non-ICU general cardiology floor patients. Daily responsibilities include rounding on all floor-level cardiology patients, completing progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, consults, and discharges, and ordering medications, tests, and procedures as appropriate. The clinician will perform new consults alongside the attending physician with most patients located on step-down or cardiology units. Support is provided by Hospitalist Medicine and Cardiology services, with Pulmonary Critical Care and Cardiovascular Surgery available as needed.
