If you're just looking to be an everyday barista this isn't for you. This is for someone who is looking to be able to create and establish a career in a field that you're passionate about. This position is for people who love tea and want to be able to share the joy of tea with those around them. This role has opportunities that extend far beyond just being a barista, although the functionalities of the role of a typical barista are included.

Tea Artisan duties include yet are not limited to: Promotes all product information, communications, advertising, promotions, focuses, and goals

• Sampling of products, educating customers
• Preparing and serving food and drinks while maintaining a high level of standards
• Menu introductions and explanations
• Working a cash register
• Stocking product, inventory, pricing
• Manufacture of tea products such as blending or packaging
• Cleaning
• Maintain and operate communication between company and customers

Being a Tea Artisan requires:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and able to handle multiple projects
• Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

High school diploma or GED preferred Current Alaska Food workers card (within first week of employment) Previous retail sales, restaurant or food service experience preferred Approachable demeanor, strong communication and people skills, problem solving and creative skills Strong communication and people skills, willingness to do extra tasks including yet not limited to: product production, shipping and receiving, hosting events Effective communication, problem solving and creative skills Excellent writing skills Outstanding interpersonal skills Commitment and follow through Proactive & action oriented Reliable transportation 3 days a week minimum availability with ability to work opening or closing shifts as needed Has experience in customer service Has experience food safety Has experience food service Has experience Point of sale register and money handling
