Shipping/Order Picker

In this role, you’ll ensure our operations run smoothly by accurately picking and packing customer orders, processing shipments, and handling inbound/outbound freight safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Order Picking & Packing: Pick, pack, and stage customer orders accurately and on time while verifying items against packing slips.

• Shipping & Receiving: Process shipments via UPS, FedEx, LTL, and freight carriers. Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs) and labels, and safely load/unload delivery trucks.

• Inventory & Safety: Receive inbound freight, verify quantities, and enter inventory into the system. Follow OSHA, DOT, and Hazmat guidelines while keeping a clean, organized workspace.

• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.  

Performance Goals Success looks like:

• All orders picked and packed accurately with zero errors.

• Outbound shipments processed on time to meet customer expectations.

• Inbound inventory received, verified, and entered into the system promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of experience preferred. Prior warehouse, picking, packing, or shipping/receiving experience is a plus. Forklift certification or experience is a bonus!

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Technical Skills: Basic computer skills required. Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems is a plus.

• Core Competencies: attention to detail, basic math skills, dependable/punctual, and the ability to work at a steady pace as a team player.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 75+ lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

Order Picking & Packing

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and on time.

• Verify orders against packing slips and purchase orders to ensure accuracy before shipment.

• Stage completed orders for outbound shipping in a neat and organized manner.

Shipping & Receiving

• Process outbound shipments via UPS, FedEx, LTL, and freight carriers.

• Prepare shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), invoices, and shipping labels.

• Receive inbound freight, verify quantities against purchase orders, and enter inventory into the system.

• Load and unload freight from delivery trucks safely and efficiently.

• Wrap and secure palletized and non-palletized shipments for transport.

Warehouse Operations

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and Hazmat handling guidelines.

• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.

All orders picked and packed accurately with zero errors.

• Outbound shipments processed on time to meet customer delivery expectations.

• Inbound inventory received, verified, and entered into the system accurately and promptly

The essential functions of this role include:
