School Psychologist

Responsibilities Ability to work with a diverse population of students. Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning. Provide targeted interventions to teach social, emotional, behavioral regulation. Provide group and/or individual counseling using evidence-based interventions. Conduct initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and Functional Behavior Assessments. Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans and crisis management plans. Collaborate and consult with community-based providers, parents, component districts, colleagues and provide resources to meet student learning needs. Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders. Record and report student progress. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Promoting equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments. Job responsibility may require individual to do one and two person lifts and/or physical interventions on a daily basis with students weighing 50-200 pounds. Position requires successful completion of all elements of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training.
