Obstetrics & Gynecology Opportunity at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center

Join the team at MercyOne Obstetrics & Gynecology- Mason City, a busy practice with instant volume. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with very flexible scheduling and great work-life balance. You will join a team of 1 OBGYN, 1 FT, 1 PT, several PRN OB Hospitalists, 4 APPs, and 2 midwives. Enjoy NO CALL! No nights, weekends, or holidays! Your schedule will consist of primarily clinic with surgery 4.5 days a week. The Birth Center handles about 500-600 births per year. There are teaching opportunities for FM Residents and Medical Students. The newly remodeled clinic is located on the main campus, close to Labor & Delivery, Lab, Pharmacy, and Radiology with access to Perinatology consultation. You will have 2 Da Vinci XI robots with designated OR block time and a Level II NICU staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists and NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bank. In-house specialists are available for consultation/collaboration in patient care, including Cardiology, Orthopedics, Reconstructive Surgery, Anesthesiology, etc.

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a regional health system covering 14 counties, including 7 critical access hospitals and 42 clinics in northern Iowa. The network service area is approximately 260,000. The 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital in Mason City is named a Top 100 Hospital nationally and offers easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services. There are 300+ employed providers, including primary care, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastics, Bariatric Surgery, OBGYN, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Palliative Care, Urology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, and more! The hospital is a Level III Trauma Center offering post-graduate education programs on site, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, and Cardiology Fellowship.

Qualifications: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
