Job Duties

Job duties include:

• Following the preventive maintenance schedule for the Hotel Hershey facility.
• Correcting and troubleshooting problems in maintenance areas.
• Responding in a timely and professional manner to guest room and house calls.
• Completing shift reports detailing work performed at end of each shift.
• Assisting with training new team members.
• Performing general maintenance around The Hotel as required.
• Assisting with tasks outlined in Maintenance/General II and I.
• Assisting engineering as required and all other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a working knowledge of electrical to include ability to use an electric meter to identify the presence of electricity, as well as working knowledge of lock out tag out system.
• Must have working knowledge of plumbing to include basic repairs to toilets, faucets and drain lines of tubs/sinks.
• Technical schooling or three years related work experience in the above trades required.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in related trade.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

• Ability to complete Maintenance Basic Training Checklist within four weeks from start date.
• Ability to be able to lift 75lbs.
• Ability to be able to communicate both written and verbal English.
• Ability to be able to work without close supervision.
• Hospitality industry experience in a maintenance/facilities field preferred.

Job Demands

Job demands include:

• The primary shift for this position is [1st shift, 7AM-3:30PM / 2nd shift, 3 PM-11:30 PM / 3rd Shift, 11PM 7:30AM], including weekends, holidays and some overtime. Based on operational demands, working other shifts may be required.
• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
• Responsible for supplying own hand tools.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work overhead for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and very close surroundings.
• Position subject to outdoor work, seasonal temperatures and will include snow removal.
