Description: The role involves providing respiratory therapy services to a diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, and neonates. The average number of treatments per day is 25-28 for an 8-hour shift. The therapist must manage respiratory equipment and perform ABGs via radial or brachial access. Experience with Level II NICU is preferred, including the ability to initiate CPAP at deliveries. The position requires assisting with intubations. The facility operates with intensivists and anesthesiologists available 24/7. The therapist will work under the supervision of a manager and charge leads on shift. During nights, the respiratory therapy staff ranges from 4-5 team members. Equipment utilized includes Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC. Self-scheduling is in place, with flexibility required to accommodate staff needs. Weekend shifts are every other weekend, and holiday shifts may be required. The ability to float throughout the facility and sister facilities is necessary. The dress code is clean and professional with no specific scrub colors mandated. The orientation consists of 1-2 shifts with a preceptor, covering NICU/General and ICU settings. This position requires commitment to meet the demands of floating and varied scheduling needs.
