Our vertically integrated operations include mining, crushing and washing aggregates, and producing concrete and hot-mix asphalt. Whether building roadways and bridges, stabilizing shorelines, rehabilitating structures, supplying essential construction materials, or providing site engineering for numerous types of developments including construction solutions for solar projects, Walbec is your bridge to expertise in construction and engineering.With safety and ethics at the core of everything we do, our experienced professionals are hard at work on commercial and industrial sites throughout the Midwest.**The Position:*** Support engineering teams with civil and structural plans, details and recommendations for various projects.* Review project requirements, site conditions and applicable design standards.* Participate in field visits, site investigations and project meetings.* Support plan revisions, contractor questions and other project delivery activities.* Shadow experienced engineers and project managers to gain hands-on experience.**Requirements:*** Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.* Interest in structural, transportation and heavy-civil engineering.* Self-starter and ability to work independently.* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
