Position Overview The anticipated annual salary range for this position at the time of posting is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year. Compensation is based on individual education, qualifications and experience. Work Location This role reports to the designated office, but our employees have the flexibility to work from home, an NORR office, or a remote location. From primary schools to higher education institutions, we design to support an exceptional user experience for students, faculty, and staff to realize positive learning outcomes. Role Purpose As an architect, you will work with other members of the design team to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget, and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines and coordinate the design through all phases of the project. Responsibilities Compile information from reports and published documents; evaluate and analyze the information to understand the broad requirements of the project. Develop architectural designs to ensure an exemplary solution that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements. Coordinate design intent with other disciplines. Integrate engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements. Prepare design reports, drawings and models following office standards. Perform site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identify any deviations and liaise with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely manner. Review project products, services and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controls. Required Skills Experience in all phases of the project cycle is required. Architectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design software. Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is required. Have successfully completed related post-secondary education. Registered with a relevant professional architectural association is an asset. Required Experience 7-11 years of project work experience.
