We are seeking a skilled Audio/Visual & Smart Systems Technician to install, program, and service integrated AV and automation systems for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate is comfortable pulling and terminating low-voltage cable, mounting displays and video walls, tuning audio, programming control systems, and delivering a clean, professional finished product. Experience with Control4 automation and DMX lighting is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and program Control4 (and comparable) home/building automation systems, including scenes, drivers, and user interfaces.

• Mount and calibrate flat-panel displays, projectors, and multi-panel video walls, ensuring proper alignment, bezel matching, and signal distribution.

• Install and tune distributed audio systems — speakers, amplifiers, DSP, and networked audio (e.g., Dante) — for clear, balanced sound.

• Program and commission DMX lighting and architectural/entertainment lighting control systems. • Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (HDMI, HDBaseT, Cat5e/6, speaker, fiber) to code and manufacturer specs.

• Configure networking for AV systems: switches, VLANs, IP addressing, and remote-access/control platforms. • Troubleshoot and repair AV, control, and automation issues both on-site and remotely; document resolutions. • Read and work from schematics, rack elevations, and floor plans; build and wire equipment racks neatly and to standard.

• Train clients on system operation and provide a professional hand-off at project completion. • Maintain tools, inventory, and a clean, safe job site; represent LRC Wireless professionally with customers.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on experience installing and/or programming AV, home-automation, or integrated low-voltage systems.

• Working knowledge of AV signal flow, audio tuning, and display/video-wall installation. • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and floor plans.

• Comfortable terminating and testing low-voltage and structured cabling.

• Basic IP networking knowledge (addressing, switches, connectivity troubleshooting). • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record; able to pass a background check and drug screen. • Strong customer-service skills, dependable attendance, and attention to detail.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• Control4 certification or documented Control4 programming experience.

• Experience with DMX / lighting control programming (ETC, Pathway, or similar).

• Familiarity with Crestron, Savant, Lutron, QSC/Q-SYS, Biamp, or Dante networked audio. • CEDIA certification or manufacturer training credentials.

• Experience building and wiring equipment racks and head-end systems.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.

• Comfortable working overhead, in ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, and tight areas.

• Local travel to job sites across Southwest Louisiana; occasional evening/weekend work for scheduled cutovers. What We Offer

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications.

• Health/benefits package, paid time off, and paid holidays.

• Paid manufacturer training and certification opportunities (Control4 and others).

• Company vehicle or vehicle allowance for field work (role-dependent).

• Stable, established employer with 75+ years in business and a strong regional reputation. How to Apply
