Lumber Production Associate

Position Title: Lumber Production Associate Wage: $17.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Lumber Production Associate position at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Responsibilities Stack and unstack lumber and boards onto and off the saw feed belt. Properly position and organize boards to support an efficient production flow. Remove finished or processed boards from the production line and stack them in designated areas. Inspect boards for obvious defects or damage while handling materials. Assist with the assembly of wooden pallets as needed. Safely operate pneumatic nail guns and staple guns when performing pallet assembly. Move, organize, and stage lumber and other materials throughout the work area. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements. Work cooperatively with other production employees to meet daily production goals. Requirements Previous manufacturing, lumber, pallet assembly, or general labor experience is preferred but not required. Experience using nail guns, staple guns, or basic hand tools is a plus. Ability to safely perform repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, and stacking throughout the shift. Ability to work at a consistent pace in a production environment. Strong attention to safety and surroundings. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift. Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to repeatedly lift and handle lumber and wooden materials throughout the workday. Ability to safely work around saws, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and other production equipment.
