A growing veterinary hospital in the highly desirable Nashville, Tennessee area is seeking an ambitious Medical Director / Veterinarian who wants to take the next step beyond a traditional Associate Veterinarian position.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a hospital, build your own team, shape the practice around your vision, and work toward genuine equity and future practice ownership without the significant upfront investment and financial risk typically associated with purchasing an established veterinary practice.
If you're an experienced veterinarian with leadership ambitions and an entrepreneurial mindset, this role offers the opportunity to build something of your own while receiving strong operational support.
What You'll Receive
$150,000$175,000 base salary, dependent on experience
20% production bonus with no negative accrual
$25,000 sign-on bonus

Lead the Hospital Your Way
This is more than a traditional clinical leadership role. You'll have genuine influence over the direction and development of the hospital.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Build, lead, and mentor your veterinary team
Influence hiring decisions and develop hospital culture
Help select equipment and technology investments
Expand clinical services and treatment options
Establish clinical protocols and standards of care
Develop the long-term vision for the hospital
Drive growth and improve the client and patient experience
Build toward long-term equity and practice ownership
You'll receive operational support while maintaining the clinical autonomy and independence to practise medicine according to your professional standards and vision.

Rather than taking on the substantial financial commitment of purchasing a veterinary hospital outright, you'll have the opportunity to grow alongside the practice, contribute to its success, and build equity over time.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a veterinarian who is:
A DVM or equivalent eligible for Tennessee veterinary licensure
Ideally has 2+ years of clinical experience
Passionate about providing high-quality patient care
Interested in leadership and developing a strong veterinary team
Motivated by professional and financial growth
Entrepreneurial, ambitious, and driven
Excited by the opportunity to influence and ultimately own a growing practice
Previous Medical Director or leadership experience is welcome but not essential for the right candidate. The key is a genuine desire to lead, develop, and build something long term.
