2nd Shift - Maintenance Mechanic II

Position Summary: Mechanic II supports plant operations by making necessary repairs and adjustments to production equipment in a safe and timely manner. Position responsibilities: Receives work orders, diagnoses trouble and performs work as required. Notifies supervisor of any trouble of a complex nature. Diagnoses and makes repairs or adjustments to production equipment and water treatment plant equipment such as: Air Compressors, Air dryers, Tenter Frames, Hot Melt machines, Inspection Machines, Dosing System, Openers, Slicers, Slitters, Hoists, Packaging Machines, pumps, etc. Performs preventive maintenance work as directed by management. Performs moderate amount of electrical work as directed by management. Keeps machinery clean and painted as required. Removes snow/ice from designated areas using hand tools. Follows all safety procedures and policies and advises supervisor of any unsafe conditions. Any other duties as requested by supervisor. Essential Skills and Experience: Possess and maintain general knowledge of all production and support equipment as listed above. Proficiency in the use of various hand, power tools, shop tools, plumbing and welding tools, Multimeter for troubleshooting, cleaning and painting equipment. Assist with various chemicals in the water treatment plant, lubricants, cleaning solvents, de-watered sludge. Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong team player.
