Accounts Payable Manager

Our client is a growing company looking for an experienced AP Manager to oversee the full accounts payable function and lead a small AP team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage day-to-day AP operations while also improving processes and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full AP cycle from invoice receipt through payment
• Oversee a high volume of invoices and ensure accurate, timely processing
• Manage and mentor AP staff
• Review and approve invoices, payment batches, and expense reports
• Handle vendor setup, maintenance, and vendor inquiries
• Perform AP reconciliations and research discrepancies
• Manage weekly/monthly payment runs
• Work closely with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and vendors
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Prepare AP reports and provide analysis to management
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and automation
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience
• 2+ years of AP management or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of the full AP cycle
• Experience managing a team
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
