Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule Wed – 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Thu – 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Fri – 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Sat – 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Sun – 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site access requirements. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and other security‑related issues. Support security‑related operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting maintenance or access control concerns, and helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas. Minimum Requirements A New York State Security Guard License is required. A TSA issued TWIC is required. Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
