Commercial Drywall Estimator

EstimatorWe are seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects. This role is responsible for managing the estimating process from initial plan review through final proposal, with a focus on drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial flooring.The ideal candidate has experience performing quantity takeoffs, reviewing project documents, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and developing detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage multiple bids, work independently, and consistently deliver accurate pricing.ResponsibilitiesPrepare complete and competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects.Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and value engineering opportunities during the estimating process.Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for submission.Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, vendors, and clients throughout the bidding process.Maintain organized estimating files and documentation using estimating or project management software.Support project handoffs by providing estimating details and scope clarification to project teams.
