What You Will Do We are seeking graduate students to work within our Quantum and Condensed Matter Physics Group as part of cutting‑edge scientific research in a range of areas including quantum matter, strongly correlated systems, quantum information science, quantum computing, quantum photonics, materials physics, nonequilibrium dynamics, statistical physics, applied energy, and atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics. The position will involve working on a research project with a staff scientist mentor and co‑mentor. The start date is typically in the summer, though it may begin at any time during the year. Work Location Onsite in Los Alamos, NM. What You Need Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program in physics, chemistry or engineering. Enrolled at least 6 semester credit hours (or full‑time equivalent). Current cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Experience with conducting scientific research. Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal and written) well in a professional scientific context. Benefits PPO or high deductible medical insurance with a large nationwide network.
