Electronics Manufacturing Lead Technician

Our client, a leader in electronics contract manufacturing, is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Lead Technician to join their team. As an Electronics Manufacturing Lead Technician, you will be part of the manufacturing operations supporting production teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Electronics Manufacturing Lead Technician Location: Milpitas, CA Pay Range: $29.00-$31.50/hr Shift: Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) What's the Job? Lead a skilled team by assigning duties, overseeing tasks, and ensuring productivity levels are met while maintaining a collaborative and positive work environment. Collaborate closely with the Supervisor to establish daily priorities, production changes, and ensure alignment with project goals. Perform hand soldering and touch-up rework for SMT and through-hole components, including ICs and jumper wires, adhering to IPC-A-610 Class 3 workmanship criteria and J-STD certification requirements. Execute rework based on Engineering Change Orders (ECO), process deviations, and Multi-Process Instructions (MPI), utilizing appropriate solder and flux (leaded, lead-free, clean, or no-clean processes). Install and hand solder all second-operation and SMT parts according to MPI and deviation processes, ensuring quality standards are maintained. What's Needed? Minimum of 6 years of practical experience in electronics contract manufacturing, with experience in medical devices or defense sectors preferred. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and demonstrate effective collaboration skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, BOM, and process instructions. Experience working on products within medical or defense markets is highly desirable.
