General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator

HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide clinical leadership and direct patient care within a general medicine setting, supporting a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered services. As part of HCA Healthcare’s culture of compassion, teamwork, and learning, you will coordinate daily nursing activities on the unit, serve as a clinical resource to staff, and help ensure that evidence-based practices and organizational policies are consistently followed.

The General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator will oversee patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and transfers, while prioritizing patient safety and clinical excellence. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a diverse adult patient population with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions. By collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff, you will support timely care planning, effective communication, and optimal patient outcomes.

In partnership with unit leadership, you will assist with staff development, precepting, and mentoring of nurses and support personnel, fostering a positive work environment grounded in integrity, respect, and continuous improvement. You will help monitor quality indicators, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and contribute to compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Your role will also involve reinforcing infection prevention practices, medication safety, and accurate documentation within the electronic health record.
