About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9.5 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years pre/post cath lab experience. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: - Experience with pulmonary artery lines and triage. - Sheath pull and cardiac medication experience. - Experience with pre/post cath lab procedures. Description: The registered nurse will manage pre and post-procedure care for cardiac and radiology patients. Nurses will check in patients and prepare them for procedures. Responsibilities include starting IVs, signing consent with patients, and administering pre-procedure medications. Nurses will complete necessary documentation as per organizational standards. Post-procedure, the nurse will manage access sites, both arterial and venous, including applying radial compression bands and utilizing femoral closure devices. Nurses will provide care for patients undergoing same-day discharge following post-PCI procedures. Candidates should be knowledgeable in post catheterization management and care. Additional tasks may include managing patients recovering from phase I anesthesia after procedures. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and safety. The position requires flexibility to float within and near the facility as needed. Weekend and holiday work are not required for this position.
