Company Overview: A leading provider of FinTech/AI tax compliance solutions is seeking a Tax Operations Manager to oversee the regulatory licensing, certification, and operational maintenance required for electronic tax return transmission. Job Responsibilities: Maintain and administer all IRS electronic filing credentials, including EFIN, ETIN, and TCC via IRS e-Services. Serve as or support the designated Responsible Official and/or Principal under IRS Publication 3112 guidelines. Prepare, execute, and track annual State Letters of Intent and Memorandums of Understanding across 40+ state tax jurisdictions. Ensure ongoing compliance with IRS and state security standards. Monitor real-time transmission pipelines during peak filing windows. Triage, diagnose, and resolve transmission reject codes and schema validation errors. Track regulatory and schema release updates from the IRS and the Federation of Tax Administrators. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in e-file compliance, tax transmission operations, or tax software certification. Deep practical understanding of IRS Modernized e-File, FIRE/IRIS systems, and state Department of Revenue filing protocols. Proven track record in managing EFINs, ETINs, and TCCs via IRS e-Services. Ability to read and interpret XML schemas, schema validation tools, and technical error logs. Experience communicating directly with IRS and state technical support teams.
