Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech & Language Pathology - Mccleary, WA

Make a real difference in the lives of middle and high school students by applying your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity runs from September through mid-June, working closely with a diverse caseload of 70-80 students in grades 6-12. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team and report directly to the Director of Special Education, helping students overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential.


Key Qualifications:

• Active Washington SLP License
• Commitment to serving students with special education needs and their families
• Experience in assessment, evaluation, and consultation for varied speech and language impairments
• Comfort incorporating humor and fun in the therapeutic and educational environment
• Excellent relationship-building skills with staff, students, families, and community partners
• Comprehensive understanding of special education processes and disability categories; expertise in early learning or atypical impairments is a plus
• Strong organization and planning abilities for program implementation and identification
• Skilled in active listening and effective two-way communication

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services for students in grades 6-12
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with educational teams and families to support student success
• Participate in professional meetings and contribute your insights on best practices
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged
