Senior Estimating Manager - Low Voltage/Building Technology - Healthcare Construction Nashville, TN, US, 37210 Role Summary The Senior Estimating Manager provides overall direction and leadership for the collaborative preconstruction process and delivery, supporting the strategy and vision of JE Dunn. Key Role Responsibilities – Core Lead the overall preconstruction process, producing comprehensive deliverables that include competitive bids, negotiated proposals, cost estimates, analysis, and budgets. Prepare and execute project win strategies, including interview preparation and leading internal and external presentations of estimates and proposals to support business development. Oversee project teams to ensure successful execution and completion of the preconstruction process. Manage relationships with key clients and design team contacts during the preconstruction phase. Perform estimating tasks as needed, including self‑perform estimating. Create conceptual budgets. Report accurate project cost history. Partner with operations to review project risk assessment, scoring, and completion. Review the project business plan with stakeholders such as operations and office leadership to ensure alignment and profitability. Intermediate verbal and written communication skills. Effective presentation skills. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Intermediate ability to read and understand drawings and specifications. Intermediate proficiency in construction estimating software. Proficiency with required construction technology tools. Ability to prepare quantity surveys. Knowledge of construction management methods. Knowledge of field operations and specific trades and scopes of work. Knowledge of self‑perform and labor productivity. Knowledge of MBE, WBE, and SBA regulations. Proficiency in general requirements estimating. Knowledge of project processes and how they support successful completion. Proficiency in Lens, Revit, and/or ASE software. Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy. Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally. Education Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Required). Equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Experience 10+ years of construction estimating experience. People management experience preferred. Working Environment Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. May require overnight travel. Willingness to work non‑traditional hours to meet project needs. Normal office environment, with exposure to extreme conditions (hot or cold) possible. Frequent activity: sitting, viewing computer screen.
