Large Mill Operator - 3rd Shift - $28.71/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential Job Category: Manufacturing Requisition Number: LARGE013045 Posted: March 12, 2026 Full-Time Location Harvey IL Allied Manufacturing 16100 S Lathrop Avenue Harvey, IL 60426, USA Who we are looking for: We are currently searching for an experienced Large Mill Operator to be based out of Harvey, IL, located approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for operating, setting up and adjusting tube mill equipment and tooling. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, processing steel. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system‑based company is a plus. What you’ll do: Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace by following 5S, Standard Work and wearing all required PPE. Set up Tube Mill. Adjust and operate all components areas of Tube Mill. Ensure quality based on specification provided with work order. Complete daily paperwork on time. Maintain all coating and induction equipment. Conduct safety inspection of work area daily. Fill out hour by hour board. What you’ll bring: Experience in industrial manufacturing Strong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment Ability to pass the post‑offer employment process with drug screen Within 3 months, you'll: Show progress and/or complete job specific training Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations Gain a basic understanding of required duties and job expectations.
