Maitre'd / Service Captain

Position Overview Maître’d / Service Captain for Lunch and Dinner Services at Cal-India Collective. Key Responsibilities Model and cultivate a positive, inspired, respectful culture. Understand and manage the flow of service, ensuring seating maximizes covers while maintaining service quality. Track reservations, manage the waitlist, and update table status. Monitor overall restaurant status to make informed decisions on wait times and seating. Greet guests warmly and provide a courteous farewell. Serve as the primary contact for guests, exhibiting comprehensive knowledge of food, drink, and services. Coordinate with floor staff regarding table arrangements before and during service. Maintain cleanliness and order in the host area and throughout the restaurant. Communicate special guest requests, VIPs, or celebrations to servers and front‑of‑house management. Learn and execute closing procedures, including cash handling, for up to two nights per week. Collaborate with the GM, AGM, and Events Manager to improve service flow. Qualifications 3–5 years of fine dining experience. Strong aptitude for wine and spirits. Exceptional communication skills. Authentic hospitality and genuine guest focus.
