Field Networking Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Field Networking Technician to support network infrastructure across field locations in and around St. Clairsville, Ohio. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting networking equipment at remote sites while ensuring reliable connectivity for critical business and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network equipment at remote field locations.
• Perform network infrastructure upgrades and equipment replacement projects.
• Support wired and wireless network connectivity for field operations.
• Provide hands-on technical support to field personnel and operational teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
• Coordinate with internal teams to schedule maintenance activities, outages, and equipment deployments.
• Assist end users with software applications used to connect and communicate with operational technology (OT) devices.
• Maintain documentation related to network configurations, installations, and support activities.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines while working in field environments.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
• Strong networking knowledge with hands-on experience in field environments.
• Experience performing onsite installations, upgrades, and maintenance of networking equipment.
• Ability to travel regularly to sites within a 1.5 to 2-hour radius of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, energy, utility, or oil and gas environments.
• Familiarity with software applications used to connect to OT devices.
• Experience supporting platforms such as ABB Totalflow, Red Lion, Rockwell Automation, or Cygnet.
• Understanding of network redundancy and high-availability environments.

• Candidate must be comfortable working independently in remote and industrial environments.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Clairsville, OH.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
