Whether it's 500 feet or 500 miles, we get the job done safely, properly, and on time.What You'll DoInstall rumble strips on highways, county roads, and other transportation infrastructure throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest.Prepare work areas and transport materials and equipment.Operate specialized rumble strip milling equipment with precision and care.Read and interpret project plans and assist with layout and traffic control setup.Ensure rumble strips are installed to specification and in compliance with project requirements.Perform routine maintenance and inspections on rumble strip equipment and support vehicles.Keep accurate job logs and meet project deadlines.Communicate with your supervisor regarding progress, equipment condition, and jobsite needs.Complete daily equipment inspections and follow company procedures.Maintain a strong focus on safe, efficient, and high-quality work.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma, equivalent, or acceptance into the MN IUOE Local 49 Apprenticeship ProgramValid Class B CDL with ability to operate interstateTanker endorsement required within 12 months of employmentMaintain an excellent driving recordAbility to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching overhead)Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to walk long distances and drive for extended periodsWillingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekendsAbility to travel for multiple weeks at a time, including overnight hotel staysComfortable working away from home for extended periodsAbility to work safely near traffic and in hazardous environmentsStrong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to safety protocols and company policiesExperience operating rumble strip milling or heavy equipment preferredMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues is a plusWhy Join Forward Traffic & Marking?Union contractorHands-on infrastructure work across the MidwestEmployee development opportunitiesTeam-focused, safety-driven environmentMeaningful work that helps improve roadway safetyBacked by the strength and resources of Road Safety ServicesHelp improve roadway safety across the Midwest-apply today!Forward Traffic & Marking is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
