Sterile Processing Tech Location: Boston, MA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,328 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 7/19/2026 About the Position Job Title: Central Sterile Technician Profession: Central Sterile Technician Specialty: Central Sterile Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night hours per shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; 2-4 years preferred License: Not specified Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) – HSPA required Must-Have: High School Diploma or Equivalent Responsibilities Perform sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures. Follow infection control standards and industry regulations related to sterilization. Process specialty and general instruments effectively. Reset instrument sets without error. Decontaminate instruments and equipment according to established procedures. Maintain stock levels in the Central Sterile Department. Prepare and assemble surgical trays and equipment according to established listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicate instrument repair needs to the supervisor. Possess knowledge of case cart assembly. Familiarity with regulatory standards related to materials management. Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Availability to work Monday to Friday with rotating weekends. Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in sterile processing; 2-4 years preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by HSPA. Knowledge of infection control standards and regulatory requirements. Ability to reset instrument sets accurately. Familiarity with case cart assembly and materials management standards. Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Onboarding Requirements BLS certification. Skills Checklist completion.
